What kind of strings can I use on my T5?
Anything and everything will work – it's a matter of personal preference. You can use Electric, Acoustic, or Flatwound in whatever gauge you like – it's your choice. Different string types will yield different feels and tones and allow you to custom voice your T5. Have fun discovering the right set for you. If you find you like strings with a wound G-string, we have saddles specifically cut for them available through TaylorWare. This will insure your guitar will be intonated (in tune) all the way up the neck.

If you're thinking about acoustic strings because you're not used to the lighter feel of the electric gauge, you might want to try heavy gauge electric strings first. If you decide to stick with heavier gauge electric, we'd also recommend using the specially-cut T5 acoustic saddle.
