Can I adjust the pickups?
The pickups and their positions are designed and calibrated to meet our product development standards. We've spent hundreds of hours listening and gigging with the T5 to come up with the current specifications. In that light, sorry, but the pickups are not adjustable.

Are there different versions of the Bridge pickup?
Not at this time.

Are the pickups noisy?
Not in-and-of-themselves. The T5 bridge and neck pickups are hum-cancelling by design. But as guitar players know, all electric guitars are susceptible to "induced" noise. No guitar can be silent in every application or venue.

Are the electronics the same as the ES?
No, only the knobs are the same. The T5 electronics were inspired by the revolutionary Taylor Expression System®, and then were custom designed to bring out the best electric and acoustic tones from the guitar.

Are there any other pickups out there that are interchangeable with this one?
Not at this time. We designed the T5 pickups from the ground up so as to maximize the interaction of the guitar and electronics.

How long does the battery last?
In our tests and gigging experience the battery lasts about 40 hours of plugged in performance. Simply unplug the guitar when not in use to preserve battery life.

If the LED light is on does that mean the battery is good?
Yes. If the light is on, there is a battery present and it has enough charge to power the preamp. The LED goes off when there is no battery, or when it's time to change the battery. TIP: When replacing the battery use a permanent marker to write the date on the new battery – this way you'll know how long it's been in.
