Sapele Body/Koa Top
A sapele body provides the ideal tonal and structural properties that enable the T5 to perform in both acoustic and electric environments. For this model we substitute a figured Hawaiian koa top for extra warmth and an irresistible look that is unmistakably koa. Because the T5 is a true hollowbody, the koa top acts as a soundboard that adds color to its varied tones.

T5 Thinline
Truly designed with the player in mind, the T5's thinline, fully-hollow body is sleek and comfortable. At 2.35 inches deep, the T5’s subtle body contours are a testament to the detail and care that shape its design.

T5 Electronics
The T5 uses a combination of proprietary pickups for a versatile range of acoustic and electric sounds. A hidden neck pickup and visible bridge pickup take advantage of the latest technology, utilizing Samarium Cobalt magnets and humbucking coils. A sensor reads the movement of the top, adding even more warmth to your acoustic tone. Toggle between pickup/sensor combinations via the 5-way switch for an impressive range of acoustic and electric tones.

Gloss Top, Back & Sides
The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.
