For this model we substitute a figured Hawaiian koa top for extra warmth and an irresistible look that is unmistakably koa. Because the T5 is a true hollowbody, the koa top acts as a soundboard that adds color to its varied tones.

The T5 uses a combination of proprietary pickups for a versatile range of acoustic and electric sounds. A hidden neck pickup and visible bridge pickup take advantage of the latest technology, utilizing Samarium Cobalt magnets and humbucking coils. A sensor reads the movement of the top, adding even more warmth to your acoustic tone. Toggle between pickup/sensor combinations via the 5-way switch for an impressive range of acoustic and electric tones.

The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.
