Sam Jaffe
Born in the mid-‘70s in Boston to folk-hippie parents, Sam Jaffe learned to play guitar from his mother at age 6, and before long gravitated toward the acoustic sounds of James Taylor, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. At 14, Jaffe started playing out and gaining notoriety around New England’s coffeehouses, clubs, and college campuses. He went on to study music at the University of Miami School of Music, majoring in classical voice and jazz composition, all the while gigging around south Florida three to five nights a week, both with the popular Southeastern band Treehouse and as a solo acoustic artist.

Jaffe’s current musical base is Los Angeles, and he performs regularly around Southern California’s premier venues, both solo and with a band. His brand of soulful, funky, acoustic pop-rock has drawn comparisons to Seal, Sting, and Dave Matthews, although Jaffe has etched his own stylistic mark among contemporary singer-songwriters. Jaffe’s music has also been used in TV and film, and he has just finished production on his first music video for the single “Worlds Away”, directed by acclaimed film producer Terrence Michael.

"Jaffe is the whole package...strong voice, heartfelt lyrics, timeless music, a great look, engaging performance...he keeps you listening and wanting more."

— Rich Orosco, Entertainment Tonight

"Jaffe makes solid pop-rock music. That's what attracts me to his addicting tunes. But separates him from the crowd is his crisp yet raspy soulful voice and underlying lyrics of unrequited and forgotten love."

— Terrence Michael, Michael/Finney Productions
