We got up for breakfast at 8:00 and went around the water to tour the big palace. Saddam evidently believed that the law could not pass over water.

Yesterday was 18 hours long, from 6 a.m. breakfast till midnight. Today started later with two call times, one at 9 a.m. to drop off bags, and the other at 11 to drive to the airport.

The first day of travel got me from San Diego to the Radisson Hotel in Kuwait City. This place was nice, with good food, plenty of space, and a nice room.
