Unlike its blackwood guitar siblings in this batch of Fall LTDs, the Baritone-8 features a Sitka spruce top instead of cedar. The result — a slightly more crisp, clear response — helps with the articulation in the lower baritone register, especially with the two octave strings. The blend of woody depth and treble punch translates into an expressive baritone voice. Wood-rich appointments include creamy Rock maple as a back mini wedge and for the binding and “fishbone”-style rosette. Small dot inlays and a satin-finish back and sides support a tastefully organic aesthetic.
