The following text is excerpted from the Owner Registration Card that comes
with each new Taylor guitar sold in the United States and Canada. It is for
information purposes only, and may not be downloaded or printed out, nor is
it to be used as a "proxy" warranty by owners of Taylor guitars. With the
exception of those limited-edition guitars for which a one-time transfer of
ownership is explicitly written into the Certificate of Authenticity, an
actual Taylor warranty is not transferable from the original owner to a
subsequent owner, and does not cover Taylor guitars purchased outside the US
or Canada, where Taylor distributors assume responsibility for repairs and
service.
To help protect your investment, Taylor Guitars provides this limited
warranty. Please review it and keep it handy. And if your guitar ever
develops a problem you believe is covered under warranty, feel free to call
our service department with any questions you might have.
Though filling out and returning an Owner Registration Card is not a
condition of the warranty, doing so can help us confirm that you are the
original purchaser. So, please take a few moments to fill it out and mail
it.
1) Terms and Conditions.
TAYLOR warrants solely to the original purchaser of this
TAYLOR musical instrument that the instrument purchased shall be free from defects
in materials and workmanship under normal use for as long as the instrument is owned
by the original purchaser, and until the ownership of the instrument is transferred
to another (unless otherwise noted by TAYLOR). This Limited Warranty does not apply:
(a) to wear or breakage of frets or strings, or other normal wear and tear of the
instrument or its parts; (b) to asserted defects caused by modification, misuse
or abuse or improper maintenance of the instrument; (c) to asserted defects involving
subjective personal likes or judgements; (d) to asserted defects caused by accident
or exposure to extremes of temperature or humidity which cause harm to the instrument;
(e) to defects asserted by any purchaser who did not purchase the instrument from
an authorized TAYLOR dealer in the United States of America or Canada; (f) to guitars
owned by non-U.S. or non-Canadian residents, or (g) to electrical components not
manufactured by TAYLOR.
TAYLOR INSTRUMENTS PURCHASED OUTSIDE OF OR PERMANENTLY RELOCATED

FOR THESE INSTRUMENTS, IF ANY, ARE PROVIDED BY THE AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR OR DEALER
IMPORTING TAYLOR INSTRUMENTS.
2) Limitation on Obligations.
The obligations of TAYLOR
hereunder are limited to repair or replacement of parts of the instrument found
to be defective under this Limited Warranty. In no event shall TAYLOR be liable

of property.

covered by or is excluded from this Limited Warranty, the instrument shall be returned
without repairs or replacement, shipping and insurance to be paid by the purchaser.
5) Legal Remedies.
Depending upon the state in which you reside, you may have additional
legal remedies available under the applicable Commercial Code or Consumer Warranty
laws.
Important Care Instructions
Your guitar is constructed from solid wood that
was carefully dried and seasoned (The Baby Taylor, Big Baby Taylor, and 100 Series
have a solid top and laminated back and sides). Solid wood will absorb moisture
in wet climates and give off moisture in dry climates. If you live in a desert,
high mountain, or cold winter region, you will experience dry weather from time
to time which could crack your guitar. If not taken care of properly, your guitar
will crack. This damage is very serious and is not covered by this limited warranty,
but can easily be prevented by storing your guitar in its case and by using a sound
hole humidifier.
