FINGERSTYLE REVISITED
I have been playing guitar for almost 50 years, and just got interested in acoustic guitar
about four or five years ago. I bought a
514ce two years ago, and shortly after that suffered
nerve damage to my left arm which affected two fingers. I became so upset that I could not
play guitar that I sold the 514ce and was sick about it after it was gone. The good news
is that after nerve repair surgery and about 12 months, I was able to move those fingers again. After
many hours of rehab and playing, the strength is coming back and I now play at church again and
with the Ohio Fingerstyle Guitar club, and sit in with a local pro on occasion. So I sold
some guitars and bought a
714ce. I love those cedar-top guitars and if it's possible, I
think this one may sound better than the last one...but it could be my imagination. Absence
makes the heart grow fonder, I guess.

MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES
I played an open mic in Charlotte, NC last night. I played first with my Taylor 714ce. I was
followed by a guy playing a Taylor 610ce sunburst. He was followed by a couple playing a
412ce and a 610ce. That duo was followed by another solo act playing a 514ce. The final
performer played a green 614ce. It was like attending a Taylor workshop. Each guitar had
its own personality and they all sounded wonderful.

NEVER PLAYED BETTER
I've been a singer/songwriter for 25 years and have owned some wonderful guitars. I was
moved by the
714ce I acquired several months ago. I have never played better in my life!
This instrument is not only playable to the extreme, but the sound inspires me to new
heights in performance. It not only impacts my playing, it also enhances my vocals and
tweaks my imagination up a notch when I'm composing. I have more faith than ever in
my music career. Do I think my new Taylor really did all this? I really do! This is
such an incredible instrument that it brought tears to my studio engineer's eyes.
We don't use any other instruments for recording and the sound couldn't possibly be
better. When I accept my awards, you'll get due credit!

BOB'S PROUD ADDICTION
I first started playing Taylor guitars in October, 1998 after trading in my [other brand]. Currently, I am the proud owner of a
712, a 714ce,
and my most recent purchase, an 814-BCE (25th Anniversary model, Brazilian rosewood sides and back). I also own a
Baby-M for travel, and my wife has a
412-R (rosewood).
At the last "intervention", my friends and some family members confronted me, stating that they thought that I was now an
official Taylor addict. After I escaped out the back door, I considered what they had to say and then disregarded it!
Your guitars are beautiful works of art, and the best-sounding, most comfortable guitars I've played over the last 35 years.
While I'll admit that my guitar-buying has to slow down considerably, I must say that I enjoy each of my Taylors totally; they
are all in active use in performance and recording several times each month. Bob, well done!

NO DULL GUITARS
I bought my 510 in 1979. I paid $300 and have been offered many times that for it, over the years. I added a 750 to
my collection in 1997. I was tempted to buy [another brand], but then I tried a 714-CE. The [other brand] sounds so
dull in comparison. My next acoustic will, once again, be a Taylor. I enjoy your Wood&Steel
publication.
