Wayne Johnson
We thought we'd share a sampling of letters and e-mails we regularly receive from Taylor workshop attendees, and the Taylor dealers who host them. They substantiate our belief that the opportunity to get "up close and personal" with an admired artist, in an atmosphere conducive to learning and application, is of great value to all concerned.

CLINICAL REVIEW
[On October 24], Wayne Johnson performed a Taylor clinic at Steilberg String Instruments shop in Louisville, Kentucky. The nylon NS74ce he played was incredible. But when he pulled out his koa T5... he could not stop praising it. I loved that his knowledge about the guitar and its features was so sharp. Then he made it sing. Nice piece of beauty and function. If I decide to add one of these to my collection, it is totally due to these clinics. Thank you.

CRAFTY AMBASSADOR
Wayne, I really enjoyed meeting you last night [at Sam Ash in Charlotte, North Carolina] and am awestruck with what you are able to make a guitar do. It is always a pleasure to meet someone who takes their craft to the very highest level as you have done with the guitar. I do not need to be a player myself to appreciate just how talented and unique you are. Thank you for sharing that with us last night. Taylor has found a great ambassador in you. I hope that your relationship with them continues for years to come.

THE LIGHTS ARE ON
My latest Wood&Steel arrived yesterday, and as usual, I sat on my deck and read it cover to cover last night. I have been an acoustic guy for 30 years and I recently purchased a koa T5. I was impressed with its playability, but my style really didn't change. I went online this morning and viewed the Wayne Johnson lessons on pentatonic substitutions, laid down the four-chord progression on my recorder, and changed my guitar playing life. I want to thank Wayne for turning on the lights for me. I was listening to the playback and my wife came in and asked who was playing the awesome lead guitar. When I told her it was me, she didn't believe it. I have always played the pentatonic scales, but until now, I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. Thanks again for the knowledge, understanding, and the finest guitars on the planet.
