As discussed during the COVID trainings this week, our company has new requirements to follow in order to keep our business operating safely and in accordance with local regulations. One of those is a requirement that the employer provides COVID testing during working hours for anyone who is part of a “worksite” that has had three or more COVID-19 positive cases within a 14-day period. For Taylor Guitars’ purposes, a worksite has been defined as a building/floor/shift.

If you are receiving this communication, it is because you have been identified as someone who is part of a worksite that meets the requirements outlined above. The worksite is the 1980 building, downstairs – day shift.

This means you will be required to be tested for COVID-19. In order to make this process as simple as possible, we have scheduled an onsite COVID testing clinic on Monday, January 25th from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, in the 1980 Visitor Center. We will work with your department manager/supervisors on the specific schedule. We expect this process to take no more than 5 minutes per person, and you will be able to return to work immediately after your test.

Please come prepared to your appointment and bring the following:

  • Copy of your photo ID (driver’s license or state-issued ID)
  • Copy of your health insurance card front and back
  • Completed consent form – email address must be CLEARLY printed on form

Again, you will be able to continue working while we wait for your results to come back. This is a preventative action, and entirely different than the testing we’ve been conducting in the last nine months connected to contact tracing of specific cases.

The requirement on the company is that we continue to test the worksite weekly until we do not have three cases in a 14-day period in that worksite. All results should be in by approximately Wednesday or Thursday, unless something comes back inconclusive.

As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Human Resources team with any questions about this process. Thank you for your cooperation.
