One of the best guitars we’ve laid our hands on.
Our cutaway maple/spruce Grand Concert has been revoiced to be richer, warmer and more complex, adding extra depth to the Grand Concert body’s natural clarity and top-end chime. Tone-enhancing strokes include a new back bracing profile, a torrefied (specially roasted) top that yields wonderfully aged tonal character, protein glues that optimize the tonal transfer, and an ultra-thin, 3.5-mil gloss finish to enhance the acoustic resonance. Together with a hand-friendly short-scale neck, the 612ce sounds and plays like a dream. A hand-rubbed “Brown Sugar” stain on the back and sides gives maple’s striking figure a beautiful violin-hued appearance. Featured appointments include new grained ivoroid Wings fretboard inlays, an inlaid ebony backstrap, ebony binding with grained ivoroid purfling, an ebony/grained ivoroid rosette, and a striped ebony pickguard, with Taylor’s stage-ready Expression System® 2 pickup onboard.
One of the best guitars we’ve laid our hands on.
The 612ce is an unbelievably comfortable guitar to play. It just fits into your body and the fretting hand feels remarkably relaxed thanks to that slightly shorter scale.
Offering the perfect balance of classic tone and modern performance, the Taylor 612e 12-Fret offers discriminating fingerstyle players a highly refined instrument that performs equally well in the studio and on stage.
