PS16ce

With its sublime tonewoods and deluxe aesthetic details, this Grand Symphony truly lives up to its Presentation name. The sinker redwood top responds with a mix of overtone warmth, complexity and power that blends beautifully with the soaring highs of the striped West African ebony back and sides. Redwood’s dynamic character provides more headroom for lively players without losing its soft-touch responsiveness. The PS16ce is detailed to mirror its refined tone, with paua Nouveau inlays and matching trim, plus a sleek ebony armrest. This cutaway model includes our sharp Florentine cutaway, along with our ES2 acoustic electronics to capture all the complexity of the guitar’s sound. It ships in a deluxe hardshell Taylor case.

Grand Symphony

Shapes

This strong Taylor strummer produces a rich, bold voice.

Sinker Redwood

Top Woods

Tight grain structure and cross-grain stiffness produce a bold and brilliant response with warm overtones. Think cedar on steroids.

African Ebony

Body Woods

A dense wood typically used for fretboards and bridges, ebony produces rich overtones.

Expression System® 2

Electronics

The Expression System® 2 captures more of a guitar’s dynamic properties using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design.

Florentine Cutaway

Cutaways

A Florentine cutaway comes to a sharp point, creating a horn-like shape. It is more complex and labor-intensive than the Venetian, and is commonly used with our Grand Orchestra body style and, more recently, on Grand Symphony models in our 500 Series models and up.
