Developed by our friends at Sonoma Wire Works, the Guitar Jack Model 2 is an iPhone audio interface that connects guitars, other instruments and audio hardware such as microphones to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It features a 1/4-inch instrument input, 1/8-inch stereo mic/line input, and 1/8 inch stereo output. The sleek, durable aluminum shell plugs into an iPhone/iTouch via a 30-pin connector. When used with an app like Sonoma’s popular FourTrack™, the GuitarJack enables stereo recording, simultaneous instrument and voice recording, 60 dB of continuous level control, configurable Pad, Lo-Z and Hi-Z modes, an AD/ DA converter, and increased drive for headphones. It’s a great tool for recording on the go with your pickup-equipped Taylor. Sonoma also worked with Taylor to create a free Taylor EQ app to be used with FourTrack. The app features several customized Taylor input EQ settings based on Taylor body shapes (GA, GS, GC, DN, T5 and GS Mini) to optimize the tone of each body shape for use with the GuitarJack. The GuitarJack is also a great-sounding input/output solution for third party amp models, tuners and recording apps like Apple’s GarageBand.
GuitarJack Model 2 is compatible with iPhone 5, iPod touch (5th gen.), iPad Mini and iPad 4 using Apple's Lightning to 30-pin Adapter, which is sold separately. GuitarJack Model 2 also works with iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch (3rd and 4th gen.) with and without a 30-pin to 30-pin dockxtender cable, which is recommended and sold separately.
