Loaded Pickguards

The Taylor SolidBody was designed from the ground up, making it possible to build-in tons of unique features. When we created the pickups, we thought, why not make them easy to swap with other Taylor pickups? With a simple plug-and-play design and no soldering required, you can change your tone in less time than it takes to change strings. Taylor Loaded Pickguards are available in the following configurations in White Pearloid, Black Pearloid, Tortoise, Black, Parchment, and Aged White Pearloid.

For SolidBody Standard models without a pickguard, plug-and-play direct-mount pickups are also available.

Direct Mount 2 Full-size Humbuckers (HD)

These yield a heavier, dirtier tone than the minis, balancing the warm, sweet sound of the neck pickup and the bite of the bridge. Players will love how well they work with effects and amps, providing definition and drive without any mud.

Direct Mount 2 Full-size Humbuckers (HG)

These give you a high gain tone without getting muddy. The HGs are engineered to hit the front of the amp harder, producing tone that's darker, fuller and fatter. Players who like to detune and who crave a heavier tone will love the hefty output.

Direct Mount 2 Mini Humbuckers (HD)

Like the HD, the HG minis benefit from their ¾-size by cutting through a mix well. Compared to the vintage tone of the HDs, the HGs dial up a bit more output, producing a bolder, more assertive voice without sacrificing their compact sonic footprint.

Direct Mount 2 Vintage Alnico Humbuckers

5-Way Switching Our take on a traditional PAF-style covered pickup produces a fat, round sound with a warm bottom end. Traditionally, guitars with two humbuckers have a 3-way switch. Our 5-way switching adds a parallel and series option for a broader tone palette.

2 Mini Humbuckers (HD)

Minis benefit from their compact ¾-size by narrowing their sonic footprint, allowing them to cut through a mix well, whether in a studio setting or with a live band on stage. The HDs yield a bit more of a vintage, articulate sound than the HGs.

3 Single Coils

Our silent single coils capture all the character of the single coil sound (think “Brown Sugar” and “Sultans of Swing”) without the buzz and other noise. The bridge pickup sounds great overdriven, with lots of sparkle and clarity when played clean.

2 Single Coils/1 Full-size Humbucker (HG)

A popular and versatile setup. If you like to switch between the slam of a humbucker and the wisp of a single coil, the "single single hum" configuration will get it done. Perfect for a player who wants access to multiple tones with one guitar.
