Smithfield

Smithfield was founded in 2011 with a dream as big as their home state of Texas. Comprised of vocalists Trey and Jennifer, Smithfield has taken the scene by storm with their memorable music and stunning harmonies. Having grown up together, their on-stage chemistry is undeniably genuine and natural.

Country duos are a unique breed in the music industry. Two voices have to blend perfectly together, and that combination is often hard to find, even in two great singers. Against all odds, the duo has continued to persevere with their music and develop their sound and found that with a lot hard work and passion that anything can be accomplished. After only one year in Nashville, Smithfield had already landed opening gigs for established artists including Eric Paslay, Brothers Osborne, Scotty McCreery, Jana Kramer, Dustin Lynch and Craig Campbell.

Mixing the heavily rock-influenced background of Trey and the classical country tendency of Jennifer, Smithfield creates a contemporary country sound that's different and compelling. After their debut music video for “Good Ol’ Days” made it’s world premiere on CMT, Trey and Jennifer celebrated a lifelong dream of performing on the coveted Grand Ole Opry stage in May of 2016. Soon after their debut, SiriusXM The Highway named Smithfield as a Highway Find act and their lead-off single, “Nothing but the Night” hit satellite airwaves nationwide.

But it wasn’t until the acclaimed and chart-topping sophomore single “Hey Whiskey” was added into rotation on SiriusXM The Highway, that Smithfield’s trajectory truly started to shift. While PEOPLE, Rolling Stone Country and Huffington Post all deemed the duo an “Artist to Watch,” they headed out on the SiriusXM ‘Highway Finds’ inaugural 26 city tour alongside Steve Moakler and Drew Baldridge. The cleverly written ballad, “Hey Whiskey” hit No. 3 on the SXM Hot 30 Countdown, has garnered more than 3K downloads per week, 2+ million Spotify streams, endorsements with Rebecca Creek Whiskey and Taylor Guitars, and the twosome has now played the Grand Ole Opry 16 times. The music video for “Hey Whiskey” can be seen on CMT, GAC and The Country Network and has surpassed 1 million views on YouTube.

Proving to be the hottest emerging duo in country music, Smithfield’s current single “When You’re Gone” is in regular rotation on SiriusXM The Highway and Rolling Stone has touted it as “Smithfield’s sexiest song yet.” Currently performing at fairs and festivals nationwide, Smithfield is shaking the mold in the industry and is staged to be the next superstar duo.
