V-Class bracing and Builder's Edition highlight our innovative spirit

Builder’s Edition

The director’s cut straight from Andy Powers himself, Builder’s Edition guitars boast an array of features designed to improve the playing experience and allow the player’s expression to take center stage.

Featuring our newest advance in guitar innovation, V-Class guitars represent a major jump forward in both sound and feel, delivering improved sustain, volume, and intonation.

352ce & 362ce

Our award-winning small-body 12-strings bring a new level of playing comfort to the 12-string experience. Two new 12-fret/12-string Grand Concert models join our 300 Series.

The Academy Series

Designed to make a full-featured Taylor playing experience more accessible than ever, these guitars distill all the essential elements of a great guitar into a more affordable option.

GS Mini Bass

Groundbreaking new string and bridge pin designs helped spawn our one-of-a-kind small-scale acoustic bass. The portable size and slinky feel add up to easy-playing four-string fun for everyone.

800 Deluxe Series

You’d think we’d be perfectly content with all the envelope-pushing, tone-enhancing features we brought to our flagship 800 Series. Not so. Our ultra-premium class of 800s lifts the playing experience to new heights.

Rosewood 400s

Indian rosewood models join their ovangkol counterparts within the 400 Series, making a solid rosewood guitar more accessible than ever within the Taylor line.

The 700 Series

A tonal and aesthetic makeover gives these rosewood guitars a personality all their own. Lutz spruce tops and new internal architecture project a bold and dynamic voice, while wood-centric details showcase a rootsy yet refined look.

New Taylor Guitar Models for 2018

At Taylor, we pride ourselves on constant innovation when it comes to new acoustic guitars. This year, we’ve taken that spirit of ingenuity to the next level with a new class of guitars that redefine what an acoustic guitar can do.

This year, we’re proud to introduce V-Class bracing, a new sonic engine that reshapes the sound of the acoustic guitar to provide unmatched volume and sustain while improving on intonation. The V-Class bracing pattern launches with four guitars: a sinker redwood PS14ce, the all-koa K24ce, and the rosewood 914ce, along with a new K14ce introduced as part of our new Builder’s Edition line. Builder’s Edition provides guitarists with a set of inviting body contours designed to give players more creative space than ever before. Along with V-Class bracing, the Builder’s Edition K14ce includes an armrest, a new beveled cutaway, and a torrefied Sitka spruce top.

The new year also gives us an opportunity to refresh the aesthetics of the Taylor line. To that end, we decided to add new inlays to the Koa and 400 rosewood lines. Koa Series guitars will now feature a fluid, organic Spring Vine inlay in maple, while rosewood 400 Series guitars have been upgraded to Renaissance fretboard inlays.

We’ll be introducing V-Class bracing to more guitars in the Taylor line, so keep your eyes open for updates. These new models and features embody the Taylor spirit of innovation, and we’re proud to continue that tradition of expanding the capabilities of our guitars and the people who play them.
