Data Subject Access Requests
For Current and Former Employees of Taylor Guitars, or for Customers and Fans of Taylor Guitars.
Taylor Guitars is aware of its obligations as a service provider with reference to the personal data it manages, processes, and stores, and is responsible for a duty of care for the personal data within its control. Taylor Guitars acknowledges that laws in the United States or other countries may not be as protective of your privacy as those in your location. Thus, Taylor Guitars shall adhere to and comply with the most protective applicable data privacy laws (collectively the “Law”).
Data subjects whose personal data is held by Taylor Guitars are entitled under the Law to ask the service provider about their right to:
• Know of the information collected;
• Delete the information collected;
• Opt-out of information collected;
• Transfer information collected
• Correct the information collected;
• Limit the use of information collected;
• Access and Limit information collected for use in automated decision-making technology;
• Not to be discriminated or retaliated against for exercising rights under the Law.
The data subject must also be told about the sources from which Taylor Guitars derived the information, so long as those sources are available to Taylor Guitars, and for a copy of the information held, in response to a valid request to that effect. The right does not extend to information that are not open to public inspection, for example to provide proof of entitlement to benefits. Taylor Guitars will, however, require sufficient details to readily locate the information requested and cannot undertake open-ended searches.
Data Subject Request Procedure.
To exercise one of your rights with respect to your own data held by Taylor Guitars, you will need to populate a Data Subject Request Form and submit the completed form (available by PDF download) to Taylor Guitars, along with multiple forms of current identification, bearing your photograph and your signature, that will allow us to verify your identity and match that identity with our data records, such as a copy of your passport, driver’s license, and other supporting documentation.
This form, and all accompanying supporting documentation is a means to assist Taylor Guitars in accurately verifying the identity of the data subject / requestor.
You are encouraged to complete the Data Subject Access Request Form, with as much relevant detail as possible, to assist Taylor Guitars in accurately identifying the location(s) of your personal data. Taylor Guitars will respond to your request as quickly as possible, and without undue delay, once we have received all of your necessary information to process your request. The more detail you’re able to provide concerning your request, the more effective Taylor Guitars will be in fulfilling the request.
Please note that in limited circumstances, your data subject rights may not apply, in order to strike a balance between the rights of the individual and the operational requirements of Taylor Guitars. For this reason, there are circumstances under which Taylor Guitars will withhold certain data from disclosure. These circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
When Taylor Guitars receives a verifiable consumer request to delete their personal information, Taylor Guitars will delete the consumer’s personal information from its records and direct any service providers to delete the consumer’s personal information from their records.
Response Timing and Format. Taylor Guitars will confirm receipt of your Data Subject Request form within 10 days of submission. We aim to respond to a consumer request for access or deletion within 45 days of receiving that request. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.

As we value your privacy and in light of the nature of the personal information requested, please note that we can guarantee your rights only upon receipt of a verifiable consumer request.
