Bridge Pulled/Exchange Declined Due to Time
Bridge pulled from the top within months of my purchasing the guitar new direct from Taylor.
Taylor declined a refund/exchange due to being out of time, so I am stuck with locating warranty repairs in a small town.
I'm very disappointed in the craftsmanship and will not purchase a Taylor again.

While exchanges do need to be handled within a specific timeframe, a bridge lifting due to a failed glue joint would be covered under our warranty as a workmanship issue. Our goal is to make sure your guitar is repaired properly and performing as it should.
If you’re having difficulty finding a qualified repair option locally, we’re happy to help coordinate service. If needed, we can also arrange to have the guitar sent back to our factory for repair.

I've owned the layered rosewood version and currently own the layered Koa version of this wonderful instrument. Both guitars are excellent choices. I had sold my first one and regretted the decision, so I bought another to replace it. They have exquisite form, are easy to play, produce a beautiful sound, and are remarkably light and rugged. I use standard tension strings, finding them easier to fret and still providing plenty of volume. I also have the 814CE-N version and find the 214CE-N almost as pleasing and almost as easy to play; for an entry-level instrument I am really impressed. I have only one complaint, resulting in 4/5 stars. I do not care for the plastic white edge; esthetically, I find it harsh to the eye and incompatible with the design and colors of the instrument. Black or brown would be better, plus the use of real wood could complete the design nicely. But this small complaint did not stop me from owning and really enjoying this fine instrument.

Fantastic Guitar That's Worth Your Time
I really like this guitar as a pseudo-classical, steel string-sorta option, and I'm quickly finding it as a first choice when I want to play - though I have other Taylors that I thoroughly enjoy. Yes, I love all my kids (read: guitars) the same, but this one is turning out to be my secret favorite. ...Can't wait to see how it evolves over time, and settles in to it's unique voice. Thank you for creating the guitar I didn't know I wanted ... again!!!

Great Guitar!
This is my new favorite guitar! Also own 814ce and 322 12 fret. Wanted something that was easier on my fingers as I do not play as much. The 214ce-N did just that.
The fret board width is great, and feels much more as a standard steel string vs classical. The stock strings are money too!
Not to take away from the 314-N, but the 214ce-N sounded much better when I was making my buying decision between the two. The 214ce-n sound was more balanced. The 314-N sounded hallow on the low e string. The woods, build and overall sound, just come better together in the 214ce-N.
