Overview
Next Generation Builder's Edition 714ce LTD
Sporting an ear-pleasing tonewood combination to complement its sleek contours, the Next Generation Builder's Edition 714ce LTD offers a distinctive voice in a package that will make players feel instantly at home. A top of Western Red cedar with walnut back and sides yield a warm, rich response with a focused midrange and exceptional touch sensitivity, making this a great choice for any player seeking a woody, mellow sound with a splash of top-end sparkle. Inside, our scalloped V-Class bracing adds more volume, sustain and open-string richness, dialing up more low-end sparkle for a truly sophisticated, expressive tone. Comfort-focused features include a beveled armrest, beveled cutaway and chamfered body edges, while the Action Control Neck lets you set your string height to the perfect level for any style or application. Appointments include Reflections inlays, a Kona Burst for the back, sides and neck, a stylish shaded edgeburst for the top, and a full-body gloss finish.
Features
Cedar, Walnut and Next-Gen Features Add Up to a Voice Unlike Any Other
All-solid tonewoods, comfort-enhancing contours and Next-Gen performance features combine for a high-level playing experience to suit any style.
Grand Auditorium
Our flagship shape offers comfort and cross-genre utility, with a clear, balanced tone suited for both fingerstyle and strumming.
Walnut
Walnut’s crisp highs are balanced by a deep, woody low end that emerges as the guitar is played in.
Action Control Neck
Building on Taylor’s legacy of easy-playing necks, the new Action Control Neck pairs a long-tenon joint for added warmth and depth with a patented system for effortless string height adjustment.
Western Red Cedar
A true performer for those with a lighter touch, cedar tops yield extra warmth and pair nicely with mahogany and rosewood.
The Claria Acoustic Pickup System
Designed for reliability and ease of use, the Claria System features a reimagined piezo pickup that delivers clear, versatile acoustic tone for any application.
Beveled Cutaway
Our beveled cutaway design provides a more player-friendly feel for guitarists who utilize every inch of the fretboard. It features a compound design with a smoothened edge along the corner of the body between the end of the cutaway and the neck heel, providing a more comfortable feel for the fretting hand.
