T5z Taylor Deluxe Brown Hardshell Case
This hardshell Taylor case is covered in textured dark brown vinyl over a 3-ply wooden structure. Your guitar is protected by foam padding covered in a plush crushed velvet lining. Double neck cradles and shape-specific body shaping provides your guitar with a snug, secure fit. Other features include a padded handle, brass-plated latches, bottom and side feet, and an accessories compartment. This guitar case fits all T5z models. Model #86147.
Note: T5 and T3 guitars require a different case.

Junk hinges..!!
This is an update as I am dealing, for whatever reason, with broken hinges tonight . I purchased this guitar 7-22-21 and the case was included. Gorgeous case indeed, interior is perfect!. Tonight 04/25/26 while taking it out of the case at church I noticed the cloth strap had pulled out somewhat. No big deal but then quickly realized the hinges were broken to the point of about to fail completely. This case is used 3 times a week, sometimes only twice and all times are for a 15 min commute to church, NO heavy use or abuse whatsoever. With a $3700 Koa Edge Burst inside it is handled with loving care. I love the guitar, but hate this cheap excuse for a case. I understand things can fail but one would only expect that from heavy and rough usage. The hinges are about as cheap as you can make them. (My 1993 Taylor 810 case is still rolling along and in great shape for its age.) These are simply junk. Period. Tonight I got online and priced a new one. $500 for a new one ?!?. Nope, not happening. Great and awesome guitar though.. Lengthy rant and apologies for such, just pretty ticked off..

Worst designed guitar case EVER! Completely unbalanced on edge.
I spent $3k on a guitar and this is what came with it. It is by far the worst case I've ever owned. It is only good to lay flat, it is like a 3 legged dog on its side and the latches are cheap and adjustments are not capable. I am only using with hardware on the one side, the opposite side latch is broken.
Sorry, we know it's tough to balance these thin T5 cases. Laying them flat is best. Please contact customer service for a replacement latch.
