Very close to the original “Pink Poodle” case

4 out of 5 stars Nelson S.

Close to the original Pink Poodle case. My wife purchased this for me for Christmas two years ago. The cheaper black case that came with my 2003 414ce special edition had finally came apart and I was using a Gator fiberglass case that I hated. I have an original Pink Poodle case for my 2002 514ce and absolutely love it. I wanted one for my 414ce. This looks and feels very much like my Pink Poodle case. It has 4 latches instead of 5 but I’ve finally become used to that. Fits great, looks great and I’m so glad to finally have a good quality case. I play out regularly with all my guitars and a solid quality case is a must.
Would you recommend this to a friend?

I would have preferred that the case was solid black.

Great fitting case

5 out of 5 stars Pamela S.

I am coming back to playing guitar from an over 20 year hiatus. For some reason, the recent Dylan film moved me to play a guitar again. I started playing my son’s acoustic guitar, but I wanted one of my own. I like the idea of an acoustic that could also be electrified. I thought the action would be closer to what I was used to. My last guitar was an electric hollow body single cut out. I was not disappointed when I played a Taylor. When I learned about the company being in California, I was sold because that is where I was raised. My 214ce-K plays beautifully, and it has great sound. So, a great guitar should have a great case, right? It used to be that hard shell cases came with a guitar, but when I first purchased mine, I received a gig bag. That is fine, and it is fun to put the guitar on my back, but it is not the place to house a guitar, especially in the winter months in Chicago. So, I began to search for a hard shell case. My local guitar store did not have one, so I decided to purchase one directly from Taylor. The experience was great. I received my case promptly, and my guitar fits perfectly in the red velvet body. Please note although this appears in the description that there are double neck cradles that will keep the neck properly positioned and safe. There are four latches, and the brass shines like gold. The case is described as brown, but it is such a dark brown that most will think it is black. The handle is comfortable in the hand, and the case is not too heavy. It also comes with a Taylor logo. You might think this is a lot to pay for a case, but I will have this case for decades. And, if you have just spent what I did on my guitar, this case will ensure that my guitar will last for decades as well. You might be able to find it locally, but the Taylor people will ship it free, and in most cases it is next day delivery. What could be better than that?

The Best.

5 out of 5 stars Mark J.

This case is top notch. Yes it's heavy. I like that. It's a protector!!! The latches are perfectly place and the ribbon that hold the lid open is sure to do the job for the cases' lifetime. No unglue or stretch is gonna happen here. I've had Ovation, Martin and Takamine cases. Taylor cases are in a class above the rest.

Outstanding Investment for your Taylor Guitar

5 out of 5 stars McTkRanch

I have one of these hard cases for my 362ce and highly recommend it. It’s wood construction gives me confidence knowing my guitar is protected when not in use, but also the added benefit of being able to regulate humidity and temperature.

Latches

2 out of 5 stars Mark R.

The case is fine, but the latches are cheap... mine have fallen off one by one. I've never seen it in over 50 years of playing.
