Questions & Answers

Preguntas frecuentes

2 questions

Are these pre slotted or do they have to be cut to string spacing when installed?

Best answer Josh M. Taylor Guitars staff

These are not pre-slotted. They need to be fit to height, side to side, smoothed, buffed (optional), and slotted.

Do I have to slot and shape this nut?

Best answer Taylor Guitars

Yes, there is no such thing as a nut that is already made perfectly for your particular guitar. While we do a lot fo the work in getting the general shape of the nut made, you will need to both shape this nut for your particular guitar and slot it.
