It is designed specifically for acoustics. A thinner guitar like an electric would not be all that stable sitting on it.

The total area is 14" wide, 12.25" deep, and 14.75" tall. The body cradle is 5" deep and 11" wide.

Mahogany guitar stand
Beautiful and functional. A piece of fine furniture. Nice to have a stand made of wood.
Taylor Wooden Guitar Stand Misaligned
I bought 2 of these beautiful, classy looking Taylor stands for $85cdn each. One wobbled side to side, so I had to stick a foam pad onto one leg to level it. The other didn't rock (as much), but only one rubber bumper reached the back of my guitar so I had to stick on a piece of rubber for even support. Cmon Taylor Quality Control! It's too nice of a product to allow this to slip by.
