Blending warm, lively acoustic character with signature Taylor playability, the 24ce brings our full-size, full-scale cutaway Grand Auditorium experience to an accessible entry-level price point. A solid mahogany top delivers a warm, dry tonal profile with a strong focus on the midrange—perfect for players who enjoy a rootsy, earthy sound. Featuring layered sapele back and sides, the 24ce’s tonal balance makes it a dependable choice for strummers and fingerstyle players alike. Inside, Taylor's unique voicing architecture bolsters the overall volume and sustain, with greater harmonic agreement between notes along the entire ebony fretboard. A slim, heelless maple neck delivers the smooth, familiar feel Taylor players expect. Visually, the 24ce keeps things simple yet stylish with subtle 4mm dot inlays, a single-ring black rosette, chrome tuners and a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard. This model includes onboard Fishman Presys VT electronics and ships in a gig bag so you can easily plug in and play wherever your music takes you.

What are the differences between & Solid Torrefied Spruce Top (14ce) & Solid Neo-Tropical Mahogany Top (24ce)?
The two are different species of wood, each with distinct tonal characteristics. The spruce top is known for its brightness, clarity, and rich harmonic overtones, making it ideal for players who want a lively and dynamic sound. In contrast, the mahogany top offers a more focused and warm tone. It naturally compresses the sound, filtering out some of the overtones and emphasizing the fundamental notes, which can be especially appealing for blues, fingerstyle, or players who prefer a dry, woody response.

A Home Run
I just bought the 24ce today and it is an amazing guitar. I have a Martin 000-18, and a Yamaha FS5, and the 24ce is definitely the best value of the three I currently own. It is a beautiful guitar with great tone and is easy to play. Taylor, you definitely hit it out of the park with this one! I love it!
Exactly what I needed.
Exactly what I was looking for. I play patio gigs at least 3x/wk during the high humidity summers in Ohio. My Martin 00015 was taking a beating. I wanted to give it a long break with humidity control. At $600 the Taylor 24ce was attractive. I wasn't expecting a high end all solid wood guitar. Turns out I got what I was needing. Plays great right out of the box. No need for an additional $100 set up. Intonation is spot on. Playability is smooth. I'm a finger style player. The Fishman pick up through a Fishman Platinum Pro Eq is more than serviceable. This things surprises me how well it performs plugged in. I am liking this guitar so much I'm now looking to add a new Taylor to the heard. Thank you Taylor. I've had this guitar for 10 gigs in 2 weeks and its already proven its value.

Decepción
Disappointed. The guitar is a good value for money. But if you're looking for a weighty, well-defined sound, you won't find it in this guitar. The Fishman preamp is standard and doesn't allow for much improvement in sound. The guitar sounds sharp, rich in mid and high frequencies. If you don't have a Boss AD-10-type preamp to correct the sound, you're better off spending $250 and buying a higher-end model.

Its solid mahogany top is naturally midrange-focused and tends to gently compress overtones, which gives it a warm, woody voice that many players appreciate for its balance and responsiveness. That said, every tonewood has its own sonic personality, and sound is always subjective. Some players gravitate toward the strong fundamentals and earthy midrange of mahogany, while others may prefer the broader dynamic range or more pronounced low end of spruce or other top woods.
