Next Generation 814ce Special Edition

Available only at Guitar Center, the Next Generation 814ce Special Edition puts a distinctive spin on our iconic Grand Auditorium with a sinker redwood top and gold mother-of-pearl details. Reclaimed from old-growth logs recovered from Northern California rivers, sinker redwood delivers a bold response, combining the warm overtones of cedar with added headroom to accommodate more assertive attack. Paired with Indian rosewood back and sides and voiced with scalloped V-Class bracing, this special-edition model yields a sweeping tonal profile with deep, resonant lows balanced by sparkling trebles. Its Grand Auditorium body provides a versatile platform for fingerstyle, strumming and everything in between. An eassy-playing Action Control Neck allows for on-the-fly string-height adjustments for a personalized playing feel, while a radius-style Indian rosewood armrest enhances comfort. The sinker redwood top features a light transparent black color treatment that draws its hues into closer alignment with those of the rosewood. Gold mother-of-pearl Element inlays, a green abalone rosette and Taylor gold tuners complete the refined aesthetic. Claria electronics deliver reliable amplified tone and a deluxe hardshell case offers premium protection.
