easy to fret

I love my Taylor 24 ce! I have played a Martin for at least 10 years. It too is a great guitar. However fretting it was getting difficult with my aging hands. This Taylor is so much easier for me to play. Has a beautiful tone to it both acoustic and when amped.

Great value for the price.

Great Taylor quality. Great Price for the value this guitar gives. I’ve owned many Taylor’s over many years. I’ve had a custom built 815e which was made in the early eighties. I’ve owned a 324ce builders, and I also owned a 717e builders and also a 117e. This guitar is a wonderful guitar for the money. It’s got a great playable Taylor neck with an ebony fretboard. I’m not sure I like the two Phillips head screws that connect the neck to the guitar but it’s the same as the baby Taylor I once had and I had no problem with it. To me the sound is a little thin at times but it’s not bad and has a distinct Taylor brightness to it. It has a nice even response across the strings. The fishman preamp faithfully reproduces the sound and gives you a volume and tone control located in the sound hole. The battery compartment, I feel, is not placed in a good location as you’ll have to really loosen all the strings and place your whole hand in the guitar to change a battery. For its price tag this guitar is comparable to guitars that are into the 900.00 range. At almost half the price it plays and sounds like a Taylor. The guitar has a beautiful edge burst in the sunset boulevard finish. It is a matte finish and is very pleasing to the eye and the color is different from other acoustics.
