Impressive tonal production

5 out of 5 stars Marty R.

I’ve tried several varieties of the Taylex pick line, several gauge and material and size combinations. Each variation has a distinct feel and sound (I’m mostly a hybrid pick-and-finger player, though I also use a pick alone in certain contexts. I have found the entire line better than my assorted previous (and because I am very specific about RH sound in specific contexts, I always have multiple picks on hand). I like the build and feel quality in the hand —even the smallest ones feel secure in my hand, and they glide easily with no noise on the strings in all contexts. And these are very responsive to touch. But the sound is what really caused me to make a complete switch I play 25 year-old Lowden O25c, and I use the entire range and various tuning. In the months I’v been using these picks, I feel like I’m playing a brand new or regenerated instrument. The tonal nuance and precision is phemomenal and has really opened by ear to timbres I had not heard before. Fantastic picks. But I WILL note that they are sometimes out of stock, so I buy extra packs….

A must for any player!

These picks rule!!!!
I just got the collectors tin with the Koa top, and am extremely pleased. This pick and the thermex pro were my favorite. It is sounds exactly as described, and is even better than some much more expensive picks that I have tried in the past.
I am a metal player, and they even work for that! Other "boutique" picks that I have tried, have just worn out in about an hour, but these really last well with my aggressive playing style.
I will be buying as many as possible!
