Why do you shade the beautiful grain and color of new k24ce with a sunburst finish?
The edgeburst is selected by our designers to complement the guitar’s overall aesthetic, adding visual depth and warmth. By shading the perimeter of the soundboard, we create a gentle contrast that draws the eye toward the center, allowing the rich grain in that area to really “pop.” It’s an intentional style choice for players who enjoy a touch of visual drama while still showcasing the koa’s natural beauty.
Of course, we also offer the K24ce in a natural finish for those who prefer the uninterrupted look of the wood’s inherent color and figure.

What hard case fits perfectly?

just purchased this guitar 3/31/2023. Would like to get an additional set of strings. I like the sound of the native strings. Can anyone tell me what strings Taylor uses for this guitar?
We're using D'Addario XS phosphor bronze, Light gauge 12-53.
Please compare the K24CE vs the 612CE on tone, volume and ease of play (I’m old!) I currently have a 2017 K24CE that lacks volume relative to my other guitars. Can you assist?
Set up specs are the same so they'll all play equally great! Tonally, the biggest difference is going from a hardwood Koa top to a spruce top on the 612ce which gives you a greater frequency response without compression but there's more to consider. Can I get this guitar with a Florentine cutaway?
Yes, a Florentine cutaway is an available option for an additional charge, with the exception of the Builder's Edition models, in which a Florentine cutaway is not an option.
I love the look of natural koa. Can I order this guitar with no edge burst, in other words, a totally natural finish?
The K24ce can be ordered with a natural finish, but this is not an option for the Builder's Edition K24ce and K14ce.
Is this guitar available with a narrower nut?
Yes, a 1-11/16" nut width is an option for this guitar with an additional charge.

5 years, thousands of hours, still my #1
I played a Larrivee D-03 for my first 15 years. It served me well but I had always loved Taylors when I went into the music stores. I thought of buying a dream guitar for almost a decade and played many many guitars in that time. This is the one that got me to hand over the money though. The best endorsement I can give for this guitar is that I have not thought of replacing it since I bought it 5 years ago because I have not found anything that plays better for me. I'm in need of a re-fret I've played it so much. Absolutely magnificent guitar.

Mellow tone from my Taylor K24
This is by far and away one of the best guitars I have ever owned. It has a rich, soft but well defined voice. Sounds great acoustically and is just as awesome when amplified. Very comfortable neck, visually attractive but, it is the large vibrant but mellow voice that drew my attention when I first played it. Frankly, it is a keeper!

My awesome Koa K24
I love my K24 builder's edition. The sound is brighter than my 914. The builder's edition slant elbow rest is perfect for live gigs. Much more comfortable to play on stage.

i love everything about this guitar but i have short fingers and i would prefer more of a " d" shape neck with a 10" graduated to a 14" radius.
