Will this case protect the guitar from humidity and temperature changes as well as the Taylor Deluxe Hardshell case? I'm asking because it will be in a house with the temp kept between 66 and 78 when I'm not there (most of the time). I have a whole-house dehumidifier that keeps the air at 50% humidity or lower.
Geoff
Best answerJosh M.Taylor Guitars staff
The climate you described sounds good. These cases block airflow, so they tend to maintain humidity very well as long as you stay proactive. Just keep a digital hygrometer in the case and add or remove humidity as needed—same approach as with a hard-shell case.

Hi is this case waterproof?
Jessica N.
Best answerJosh M.Taylor Guitars staff
No.
Hi I've just purchased an Aerocase GP for my Builder's 717e. It's great but feels like a very tight fit when zipped and the case seems to put quite a lot of pressure on the bridge. Is that to be expected? I am concerned that over time the pressure may damage the bridge/body. I'd welcome any views or advice? Many thanks
Ben M.
Best answerJosh M.Taylor Guitars staff
This is expected with a brand new case. It will break in and loosen up with use.

Best way to clean the case?
Ted H.
Best answerJosh M.Taylor Guitars staff
Lightly wet a clean, soft cloth in a mix of warm water and a bit of dish soap. Then thoroughly wipe the case down, giving a bit of extra elbow grease to any particularly offensive areas. When satisfied, use a clean, dry cloth to dry the case and you're on your way.

Super light weight and solid protection.
A completely adequate case.
3 out of 5 starsThomas S.
I rate this case as adequate. It has good features and not so good. I like the back straps, which make carrying my guitar up and down steps and through doors very easy. It’s also very light. The outside pocket is great, however the inside mesh pocket quickly developed a hole.
The bad: hard shell guitar cases have a storage box where the guitar neck rests. If you put in one of those, this product would zoom to 5 stars. Gator does it in there comparable case. For my 150 twelve string, I bought the Gator case instead of the aero.

They are okay. I think price is to high for what they are.
Great way to transport or travel with your Taylor
5 out of 5 starsJon K.
Great case that is so easy to wear on your back when traveling. It is somewhat difficult to open since the zipper is needed to be un-zipped all the way around in order to open fully. Quality of the materials is top notch and the protection for your guitar is great!
Aero Case a winner!
5 out of 5 starsLarry T.
The Aero Case is a great product. I was taking a college guitar class where I had to haul my guitar a long distance. Before I was using my hard case, I had to change hands every hundred yards because of the heavy weight. The Aero Case has the firmness to protect my guitar and is a fraction of the weight. The backpack straps make carrying so easy. It's well made too!

Sturdy and versatile

It is definitely easier to carry than the hard case. I like the pocket for my iPad, page turner, cables, etc. It’s now my goto when I take one of my Taylor’s from the house to go play.
Lightweight mostly functional case

So frustrating that the case doesn't open all the way. Protects the guitar, but the cloth doesn't stay clean. Salt clings to it.
Great protection but bulky
4 out of 5 starsNICHOLAS D.
The case is built like a tank and offers extraordinary protection for the 712W, but for frequent gigging I feel it to be a bit too bulky and heavy. I previously had a lighter Taylor case meant for 712 models and it was great but for one thing, the headstock fit was a bit narrow for the wide neck 712W and usually threw the G string out of tune when inserting the guitar, so therefore bought this one. Would not mind something a tad lighter that accommodates the 712W. As I said the protection is extraordinary but a little overkill for me.
Perfect fit for a Guitar on the move
5 out of 5 starsTimothy E.
The original hardshell for my 814C (purchased together in 1995) has held up and served me exceptionally well. I, on the other hand, was finding it more and more difficult to navigate doors and getting it in and out of the car on my way to/from gigs. The new Aero Case is Fantastic .. not only for my Guitars but for my old bones. I like it so much that I bought a second one for my smaller 912CE. Great product

Best protection you can give your guitar when not in use.
5 out of 5 starsYonnie
This case is perfect for storing my 214 ce plus. It keeps the guitar perfectly protected when not in use, and with a humidifier it seldomly requires any significant tuning between sessions. The case is substantial and protects the guitar when not in use. The case is light and has a handle wherever one is needed to move the guitar about. A very well thought-out protection for this guitar.
