The 812ce-N provides all the snappy, modern nylon-string tone a player could want in a package that strikes a balance between classical sound and modern feel. This Grand Concert acoustic-electric sports back and sides of solid Indian rosewood paired with a Sitka spruce top, which resonate with lush overtones and crisp treble notes that ensure strong definition and clarity—perfect for fingerstyle arrangements. In the 812ce-N, the Taylor neck features a 20" radius that will feel natural for experienced classical players, along with a 1-7/8" nut width that makes for more comfortable fretting. ES-N electronics deliver faithful amplified sound, and the included hardshell case offers protection during transport.

Rated 5 out of 5 from 5 ratings

I played acoustic guitars for a few decades mostly on a Gibson Hummingbird and on a Martin d-18 DC. Both are beautiful guitars but I quit playing 3 years ago because my hands let me know that I was in my mid 70's. I missed playing music and decided to play a more hand friendly nylon string guitar. I tried a few off brand nylon guitars in our local guitar shops which were indeed hand friendly but very tone poor. I heard Taylors had a great reputation so I went on line to Taylor guitars and reviewed the beautiful 812ce-N and ordered one. It arrived a couple days ago and I fell in love with it! This guitar is gorgeous but what floored me was the sound! It has the best sound of any guitar I ever played, truly amazing! I loved the fretboard light colored stripe on the Taylor display photo and hoped that when mine arrived it would look similar, it did! Thank you Taylor, you gave me back the gift of playing music again! I am strictly an armature but my love for playing has returned

Nylon Strings at Their Best!

5 out of 5 stars Taylor Maniac

All Taylors "play very well" but for a nylon model like this one and with a Grand Concert size - the "magic" happens when properly tuned and a fresh 9V battery is installed, coupled with a solid guitar cable. Your option to plug in directly to your PA system or into an Acoustic Amp will bring this 812ce-N to life! Owning 6 different Taylor models - all with the ES System installed onboard makes switching from one to another a breeze! The ES-N system brings out the quality tones of this beauty of a guitar! The craftsmanship goes beyond measure!

loving the size and sound

5 out of 5 stars Chris W.

Sustain, projection, tone, and smaller body with 12 frets neck-to-body make this thing so comfortable and fun to play for hours. I'm so happy I went with the smaller grand concert body as picking it up and playing anywhere from couch to bed is too easy. I'm playing a variety of styles from fingerpicking, blues, Spanish classical, and strumming soft and hard and loving all of it. I put Hannabach 815 Medium Tension (MT) strings on this and what a beautiful sound they make. Looks as good as it sounds, beautiful construction and inlays. I've plugged it in a few times but mostly play unplugged.

Best of the nylon series

5 out of 5 stars Bob S.

Out of my 5 Taylor's, this is my favorite for sound and the feel!

Superior craftsmanship, and is best of class in the nylon series. This GC is a comfortable size. The only improvement might be a bevel arm rest.
