Hannah Bethel
Hannah Bethel is a rare artist who blurs lines between country, Americana, folk, rock, and pop, blending elements of the many genres and styles that have influenced her writing and creative expression. Her musical artistry reflects who she is: a fiercely independent, wild, free, and untamed spirit. Born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Bethel grew up in Houghton, Michigan, listening to country and 70s rock, drawing inspiration from Tom Petty, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Willie Nelson and others. She spent her teenage years performing across the upper Midwest before self-releasing her first record at age 17. The following year, she moved to Nashville, where she released three well-received independent albums over a six-year period.
Bethel’s breakthrough came in 2018 when she and her video “Train” were featured in the CMT Music “Artist Discovery” program. She vaulted to new heights with her 2019 single and video “Rhinestone Rodeo,” followed by her first national tour. Her emotionally riveting ballad, “The House Is on Fire,” won first place in the Americana category of the 2019 International Songwriting Competition and the music video premiered on Ditty TV and CMT in early 2020. Later that year, Bethel’s new single, “Memphis,” cemented her cross-genre appeal. Her forthcoming EP will be released in 2022.
Bethel has received media accolades from Billboard, The Washington Post, Americana Highways, The Alternate Root, Maverick Magazine, The Boot, and others. Her music videos have been featured on Ditty TV, CMT, Circle Network and TCN.
