254ce Plus
A 12-string acoustic guitar can be an inspiring way to add new sounds and musical textures to your repertoire. The Taylor 254ce offers a full-voiced, octave-rich tone thanks to a solid Sitka spruce top that generates plenty of volume and projection, with layered rosewood for the back and sides. With the always-comfortable Taylor Neck and a Venetian cutaway, this Grand Auditorium provides an accessible playing experience for guitarists of all skill levels. And with built-in ES2 electronics and a sturdy padded gig bag, the 254ce is easy to plug in to an amp and take with you on the road.

What strings are installed on a brand new 254CE Plus 12 string Taylor guitar?
D'Addario XS lights, .010-.047
Trying to figure out why Taylor Guitars uses the word, "Plus", in the designation "254ce Plus Grand Auditorium". I didn't see a 254ce Grand Auditorium among the 12-string offerings. From what I can infer, its a matter of getting an aero case rather than an aero case. Is that what the "Plus" means?
Plus models include a few upgrades and distinguishing features, such as an AeroCase, gloss-finished body, faux pearl rosette, and black pickguard.
Are the tuning machines Taylor?

Does the 254CE have the same neck width as the 264CE-K?

Look no further
If you're looking at 12 strings, THIS IS THE ONE! The quality of build and materials makes this guitar a jewel. Typical low Taylor action, thanks to the straightest neck you've ever seen. I've had mine over a year, and it gets played every day!

Never thought a 12 string would become my go to
My first 12 string. Tried several but none had the action and sound quality of this Taylor. One minor issue. The pick guard was misaligned so I removed it. Kudos to Parkway Music.They gave me a good honest value for my trade-ins.

12 string Taylor 200 series mod #254ce
beautiful sound, you will want to throw away your 6 string. The only problem that I did notice is that they don't seem to want to stay in tune to long, I use Exlixir strings 10/47 light which I think are the best strings around for any guitar. I even use Exlixir strings on my banjo. They last a long time.

Low action, great sound, easy to tune and easy to play. All the features Acoustic/Elec cutaway. All around great guitar. Ordered thru Guitar Center Arlington.
