Overview

322ce 12-Fret

Watch Video

"This cutaway version of our 300 Series 12-fret Grand Concert features all-mahogany construction, solid tonewoods and V-Class interior bracing for improved volume and sustain. The 322ce 12-Fret boasts a compact feel with strong tonal articulation that make it an ideal choice for fingerstyle arrangements and recording applications, while the 12-fret-to-neck setup offers a relaxed feel and more presence in the midrange. The result is a punchy, balanced voice with a focus on the fundamental note and minimal overtones, a sound that translates beautifully in amplified settings thanks to the built-in ES2 electronics. Appointments include a satin edgeburst finish, Gemstone fretboard inlays in Italian acrylic, and a stylish firestripe pickguard. "

Features

Punchy Midrange, Accommodating Handfeel

A comfortable cutaway body shape and beloved tonewood combine for a rewarding playing experience and powerful midrange-focused sound.

Grand Concert

Our most compact full-scale shape serves up a balanced, articulate voice that responds beautifully to a light touch.

Mahogany

Dry and woody with clear, potent midrange. Strong fundamental focus with controlled overtones.

Mahogany

Like koa, mahogany produces a midrange-focused voice with strong fundamentals and controlled overtones. Opens up over time to sound warmer and sweeter.

Expression System® 2

The Expression System® 2 captures more of a guitar’s dynamic properties using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design.

Venetian Cutaway

The Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the body.

V-Class Bracing

Our patented V-Class bracing is a revolutionary new pattern — a new sonic engine — that marks a major shift away from traditional steel-string bracing patterns.

Wonderful guitar with one notable exception

4 out of 5 stars ParkcityBrad

Love the guitar with one notable exception. The ebony buttons on the tuners do not attach tightly to the tuning shaft and rotate slightly. I tightened the screws which only helped temporarily. The solution that finally solved the problem permanently was to remove the knob, place a drop of superglue inside the button and then re-assemble. It solved the problem and now I very pleased with the performance, but I shouldn't have to repair a multi-thousand dollar guitar right out of the case. I love the compact size and sweet mellow tone. It's my go-to "late night couch guitar" and I love it.

Hi Brad,
Sorry to hear about the tuner issue. We're happy to take care of these things when they pop up but we're glad you were able to resolve it. If you need further assistance, please email us at support@taylorguitars.com.

Great guitar horrible tuners.

Im 52 years old and have been playing cheap guitars most of my life until dropping 2500 bucks on this 12 fret Taylor I love the sound, shape and feel of the guitar. What I don’t like is that the G tuner broke after 2 years . Since it was past two years, Sweetwater would not cover the broken tuner.

Hi Shane, thanks for sharing your feedback and for following up via email. We’re sorry to hear about the tuner issue on your 12-fret Taylor. That’s certainly not the experience we want anyone to have—especially with a guitar you’ve grown to enjoy.

While Sweetwater’s warranty may have expired, we may still be able to help. As mentioned in our previous email, we just need a few details: the guitar’s serial number, your purchase info, and your mailing address. Once we have that, we’ll gladly look into what options are available.

We appreciate you choosing Taylor, and we’d love the chance to help make this right.

Perfect tone

Perfect for finger-picking. Very balanced tone. Incredible action. It is my third Taylor. It surpassed my 1970 Gibson J-50

GREAT guitar

5 out of 5 stars Blair C.

I'm the proud owner of four Taylors, and my 322ce is my favorite of all of them. Don't let anybody tell you that it's not a good strummer, either--it's got a punch that belies its size in tone, sustain and volume. If I had to cut down to one guitar (perish the thought!) it'd be this one.

My first Taylor Guitar

5 out of 5 stars Mike D

A customer of mine had this guitar I think she bought in 2021. She offered it to me and I ended up purchasing it. It’s a beauty, especially in its crushed red velvet case on its smoky mahogany burst. Super comfortable compact feel and soft tones but punch where and when you need it. Very clear lunch lower strings. Finger lockers dream. The satin finish keeps it slick to the hands. I have to say the strap retainer in the rear of the guitar is plastic and hard to get a good leather strap on. It’s the only thing I can find wrong with this guitar. And it’s likely a user issue.
