322e
Mahogany is an all-time classic acoustic guitar tonewood for a reason, and the Taylor 322e serves up all the warmth, midrange focus and balance that players have come to love about this wood. Constructed with all-solid mahogany in our compact, accommodating Grand Concert body shape, the 322e's dry, punchy voice remains consistent across the frequency spectrum, while the V-Class bracing inside enhances the volume, sustain and overall harmony between notes. Ideal for recording scenarios as well as live play, the 322e delivers a tight, articulate musical character that fingerstyle players—in addition to strummers and flatpickers—will especially love.

What is the nut width and is the guitar offered in 1 11/16?
Standard is 1 3/4". It can be special ordered at a retailer with a 1 11/16" nut width for an additional $150 USD
Will Taylor produce a 322e-N, All-Mahogany, Nylon-Strung, Grand Concert for those who play No-Nails Classical-Fingerstyle-Acoustic-Blues?

Why does Guitar Center have Tasmanian Blackwood listed as a side and back tonewood ?
Current specs are mahogany but they used to be made with Tasmanian Blackwood. Maybe they have an older spec guitar in inventory.
As a top wood, how does spruce sound vs. mahogany?
Aside from the difference in appearance, both wood types are extremely musical. Spruce is lighter in weight and has a broader dynamic range with pleasing overtones. A mahogany top is slightly denser and heavier which translates into a natural compression effect that smoothes out the attack, producing a more focused voice with fewer overtones.
What's the difference between the Grand Concert and the Grand Auditorium?
The Grand Concert is considered a small-body guitar. It has an articulate voice with top-end chime and controlled overtones. Its intimate size is lap/couch friendly. The Grand Auditorium is a medium-size guitar and Taylor’s most versatile body shape. It's known for its balanced blend of warmth, clarity and sustain with a well-defined midrange.
