What can I say that hasn't already been said. So here's my story. I went over to my father in-law house about a year ago and we got to talking about guitars ( we both play). So we went to his music room and I was just looking around and he was showing me one of his new a guitars. I sat and strummed on it for a minute then I noticed a nice looking hardshell case in the corner amongst a few other cases. I said hey what is that? My father in-law said that's just some guitar that somebody from his church gave him. I asked can I check it out. He said sure! I grabbed the case and noticed it said Taylor on it...I got a little excited but I then thought well it's probably a 114 or a 214. Boy was I surprised when I opened the case and it was a beautiful 414ce Special Edition. I was taking back...I said pops why is thing just sitting in the back corner this room? Why are you not playing this thing? I asked do you know what this is? He said not really. I said do you know what it cost....he said not really 3 or 4 hundred dollars maybe. I about fell out. I played it and said man I've got to have this. I told him to please never sale it without letting me know first. Well fast forward to the present about two weeks ago I was over at his house again and I wasn't even thinking about the guitar when I made a comment about being married to his daughter now for 17 years and how they couldn't get rid of me even though may have wanted to at times. He said yes you've been around the longest go back there and get that Taylor and take it with you and we'll work something out later.....well we haven't worked anything out yet but I sure have been enjoying this guitar. As you see from the photo I've got a J45 which I love but man I just can't not pick up the Taylor when I walk into my studio room. The J45 is mad at me now.

Beautiful inside and out.

Just picked it up two days ago and am very impressed with it so far. Traded in my 2003 414 CE (standard for many years). This guitar is beautiful to the MAX. I will be playing it at church on Easter Sunday. Am looking forward to seeing the response. Time will tell if it lasts as long. I have a feeling it will.

Zero faults.

I own several high end guitars but when I saw this Taylor Custom 414ce Special Edition, I pulled her off the wall, scrutinized her playability and she came home with me. I love everything about this girl. Stunning and beautiful visually. Perfect sound quality's. Warm, balanced and so easy to play. My other guitars are cased and jealous.

I can’t express how beautiful this guitar is in person (way better than pictures) . The sound is captivating, play one cord and you can’t put it down . Loud but yet subtle when it needs to be. I’ve owned SEVERAL acoustic in my 60 years , this one is my favorite by far ❤️

Looks awesome and plays and sounds great.great.

Love the look of this guitar. I have 9.5-46 gauge strings and the action is set low, no buzz. Plays fast and loose. Good volume unplugged and sounds great out of my Mackie Show Box amp. The neck and fret board feel good. The Venetian cutaway gives nice & easy access to the 15th-19th fret.

Dutch Boy Blues and his 2021 Special Edition 414ce

5 out of 5 stars Dutch Boy Blues

Awesome instrument. Tone woods deliver the sounds as described. Playability and feel are perfect out of the box. I have a 2021 and have played 3 to 4 hour gigs ever weekend since, with no problems or issues. Audience as well as other musicians have complimented my tone/sound consistently over past few years. You can hear my Taylor on my acoustic releases on all music platforms.
