Gold Label 510e

Watch Video

With its Dreadnought body and mahogany/spruce tonewood pairing, it's easy to see and hear the throwback inspiration behind the Gold Label 510e. This model boasts a deeper frame that combines with our fanned V-Class bracing to deliver unmatched power, projection and midrange warmth, all with controlled overtones and a strong fundamental focus that make this a compelling choice for any application. The torrefaction process used for the Sitka spruce top adds a dash of maturity and depth to the mix, while the long-tenon Action Control Neck yields improved resonance as well as exceptional adjustability so you can dial in the perfect feel. Understated visual details include a Curve Wing bridge in Honduran rosewood with matching bridge pins, nickel tuners, cream-colored binding and Crest inlays, and a full-body gloss finish. It ships with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and a deluxe hardshell case.

Features

Classic Vibes in Both Sound and Style

Sleek, throwback aesthetics match an equally warm, heritage-inspired voice in this modified Dreadnought acoustic-electric.

Dreadnought

This classic square-shoulder profile produces a robust, powerful sound with rich lows, punchy mids and clear trebles.

Action Control Neck

Building on Taylor’s legacy of easy-playing necks, the new Action Control Neck pairs a long-tenon joint for added warmth and depth with a patented system for effortless string height adjustment.

Spruce

The most common top wood between Sitka, Adirondack and Engelmann varieties. Bold, clear, and dynamic sound suits any playing style.

LR Baggs - Element VTC

This undersaddle pickup channels tone from the movement of a guitar’s top, delivering a remarkably warm, detailed sound in Gold Label and Legacy Collection guitars.

Gold Label 510e blew me away

5 out of 5 stars KellyG

I bought this as my first quality Guitar. My brother and I were testing Gibson Dove, Martin HD28, Alvarez Yari and Yamaha FG9 models and a few others. My brother initially said he didn’t care too much about Taylor’s due to their bright tone. We picked up both the Gold label 810e and 510e which there was little difference between them and we were amazed at the volume of tone they produced and much easier to play with the best action of all these brands. For anyone wanting a quality guitar that holds its own with the other top manufactures, I bought the Gold Label 510e and it rocks it out of the park. Thanks Taylor for the quality and attention to detail here! Great Guitar!

My first Taylor

Love this instrument. After more than 50 years playing and a couple hundred guitars of all price points I found the one that has everything I want in a guitar. If there was anything that I would change, I would ( and may later) move the pickup control closer to 12 oclock position in the sound hole. Mine has a distressed looking top that I am not a fan of but I know some folks like that kind of thing. I think this guitar with the stripped pickguard and Honduras rosewood bridge would be beautiful against a black top that matched the headstock. As it is, it is so far above anything that I have ever owned or played. I have owned 5 Martins and still have 3 of them but I am so impressed with this 510e that my Martins may get their strings loosened and used in a display case..

The 510e is a keeper

An amazing guitar! The playability you always get from a Taylor and a sound that makes you think you are in Laurel Canyon in the 70s. Taylor nailed it with this model.
