A modified Grand Pacific round-shoulder dreadnought with a deeper body, the Gold Label 717e Blacktop combines Indian rosewood with torrefied Sitka spruce to produce a rich, powerful voice with robust low-end character and warmth that stretches across the frequency spectrum. Inside, a fanned variant of our V-Class bracing architecture adds more volume and longer sustain, while our patented Action Control Neck™ incorporates a long-tenon neck joint to warm up the low-end resonance and offers unmatched adjustability and playing comfort—just turn the interior bolt to alter your action (string height) in seconds, without needing to remove the neck or detune the strings.
A striking black top finish treatment is complemented by cream-colored binding, rosette, pickguard, and Crest inlays, with a Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge and Indian rosewood bridge pins to round out the visual details. Dressed in a full-body gloss finish, the Gold Label 717e Blacktop features LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and includes a deluxe British Cocoa hardshell case.

The guitar in the video seems to have a contrasting (non-black) peghead. How can that option be selected?
The peghead veneer is made from ebony and is not painted black. Ebony is a naturally variable wood, so some pieces have caramel-colored or smoky streaks while others are nearly solid black. This is not a modifiable option.
Can I order this in a LH model ?
Not yet, but they will be soon. We're shooting for sometime in September 2025.
Why does it say on your home page any guitar but Builder Editions can be special orderedin a LH version including the Gold Series ? But you are telling me not available!!!!
Builder’s Edition models with a cutaway are not currently offered in a left-handed version. However, the current Gold Label 814e is available left-handed at no additional charge, which is great news!
