Will some type of Taylor Sense be available? Also, where is the battery. Most LR Baggs have them by the neck where it is hard to reach when the battery dies. I really enjoy the Taylor Sense for checking battery status on my Taylor's.
TaylorSense will not be available for this model but there are many other humidity sensors available. The battery is mounted inside on the back, near the heel block, for these with the LR Baggs pickup installed.
Why LR Baggs element and not Taylor electronics?
Old school pickup for the vintage voice of the guitar.
What is the string height at 12?
6/64" on the bass side, 4/64" treble and easily adjusted up or down with the action control neck.
What's the width of the waist on this one?

Lefties will be available by April, 2025.

Yes, you can special order without electronics through any authorized Taylor dealer.
Does it have bolt-on neck joint?
Yes, the neck is bolted on. These models have a new Long-Tenon neck joint with enhanced wood coupling which translates into greater low-end resonance with a glueless configuration that offers easy, precise adjustability.
What is the width of this guitar at the bottom and what is the scale length?
16 1/4" at the lower bout and a 25 1/2" scale length.

Now I have two 814….CE and E SB…High and Warm
I am not a musician , but guitars are my fun and hobby , I thought myself how to play and my style of playing is not like many who know music and guitars better than me. I love sound , my ears pick slightest changes in a tone and I found my dream guitar in 814ce few years ago. I spent good amount of time to adjust the action to what I liked , even though was fine way it was when I got it. Then last month I saw 814e SB and found it to be exactly opposite of what I wanted vs my 814ce with warmer tone , easy action adjustment ….love both of my 814’s

814e Sunburst Rosewood
My 814e gold label was delivered yesterday and WOW!!!!! This guitar is loud and the tone is so balanced and of course it plays like a Taylor. I have always been partial to maple however the combination of the modified V bracing and the hondurian rosewood and whatever other magic Mr.Andy put into this guitar, we’ll let’s just say this is a piece of art. I just replaced the acoustic rhythm tracks on this song I am working on . The 618 maple sounded good but the rhythm needed more warmth and the 814 made the difference. This guitar is absolutely gorgeous the bookend matched back is very unique. It won’t belong before this 814 becomes my favorite guitar. Oh yea the case is cool 😎
