Watch VideoBoasting superior craftsmanship, top-tier tonewoods and a bevy of design innovations, the Gold Label 814e introduces the world to a new kind of Taylor sound. This model features a new body shape we've called the Super Auditorium, a slightly larger version of our famous Grand Auditorium shape that yields impressive power with a heritage-inspired warmth and richness that will entice traditionalists and contemporary ears alike. Back and sides of Honduran rosewood are paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top, delivering exceptional low-end presence, clear trebles and a complex harmonic character with overtones that bloom as notes resonate. Inside, a new iteration of our V-Class bracing dials up longer sustain, greater volume and near-perfect pitch accuracy all the way up the neck. A new long-tenon neck joint improves overall resonance and sonic transfer, also providing super-precise adjustability whenever the need arises. This Super Auditorium guitar sports a fresh suite of visual appointments with a new Continental inlay suite, a new pickguard design, grained ivoroid trim, antique chrome Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, bone bridge pins, and a gloss-finished body. It ships with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and a deluxe hardshell case with a British Cocoa exterior.

The SB means Sun Burst. The 814e SB has a Sun Burst top. The 814e has a natural top.

when can you order and receive a Gold label 814?
Orders can be placed through authorized Taylor dealers and typically take 30-90 days to deliver.
Does it come with a bolt-on neck joint. And why not use ES2 system?
The neck is a new design, our action control neck and is bolted on. We're using the LR Baggs Element VTC on this model because it has a nice vintage tone, just like the guitar.
Do they have bolt-on neck joints?
Yes, the neck is bolted on. These models have a new Long-Tenon neck joint with enhanced wood coupling which translates into greater low-end resonance with a glueless configuration that offers easy, precise adjustability.

Bought this to sister my 2012 816ce Spring LTD KOA, different vibe but same gene pool.
ONLY issue, my case could have had better QC. Lid, and interior pocket will not stay open. One latch was bent. Still rate a 5, but had a similar case issue on my 410e Baritone-6 LTD.

I would never buy an acoustic guitar at this price point with integrated electronics, Taylor needs to have the option of no electronics for these high-end guitars.
