Nice sound but a lot of irregularities on the soundboards. Rather disappointed.
The projection is powerful given the size of the guitar.
For cons I find that the finishes are not up to the reputation of Taylor. The soundboard has very visible irregularities to the eye because of the black color, and quite perceptible to the touch. I'm disappointed with that. Even after an exchange the same defects are present.
Taylor explained to me that it was due to the difference in essence between the haromny table and the dams.
In this case why choose these types of wood??
If I had known that, I would not have chosen this model because of these too visible defects.
Sounds like you're seeing some brace telegraphing in the top. This happens when braces are more parallel with the top grain but nothing to worry about. If it seems like something else, please reply to our email with some pics. If there's a defect, we'll take care of it under warranty. Thanks!
