Crafted in partnership with Guitars for Vets—an organization providing guitar lessons and instruments to support American veterans experiencing PTSD—this version of our flagship acoustic-electric guitar sets a high standard for sound, style and musical utility. The Guitars 4 Vets 814ce Special Edition Blacktop combines a solid Sitka spruce top with back and sides of beautifully figured, AA-grade Indian rosewood, a pairing that yields a richly textured voice with warm lows, bell-like trebles and blooming overtone character. Inside, a scalloped variant of our V-Class bracing enhances the volume and sustain across the frequency spectrum, while our new Claria electronics with convenient soundhole-mounted controls offer rich amplified tone that's exceptionally easy to dial in thanks to the included mid-contour knob. Exclusive details add up to a striking presentation honoring our veterans, including unique 5-Star shell inlays, figured Hawaiian koa binding with green abalone edge trim, an abalone rosette, antique gold Gotoh 510 tuning machines with black buttons, and a full-body gloss finish capped with black top color.
