This all-mahogany Grand Concert serves up a punchy midrange response that remains balanced across the frequency spectrum, with V-Class bracing inside boosting the volume, sustain and overall tunefulness of the guitar. The hardwood top helps even out an aggressive attack, delivering a focused sound with minimal overtones. With a slightly shorter scale length of 24-7/8", players will notice a slinkier feel down the neck, making it easier to hold notes and chords. The guitar was designed for 12 string lights 10-47 which pull with 251 LBS. If you decide to go up in gauge, we recommend detuning 1/2 step per gauge increased.
Does Taylor offer any 12-string guitars comparable to the 362 with gloss front/back/sides?
Sorry, not currently, no.
Hi, my home is an apartment with paper-thin walls; can you recommend the ideal sound hole rubber cover that is best to use to mute a 362ce and can you recommend an apartment-friendly, acoustic amplifier that facilitates headphones and is a match for the 362ce please?
We don't have any specific brand of sound hole cover we recommend. Just be sure to get one that fits a 4" sound hole. As for an amp, there are many options to choose from. You may want to check out the VOX VX50AG.

It is available with or without a cutaway and/or electronics.
My retirement plan is to become an acoustic blues guitarist; will the 362ce provide a warm, acoustic blues tone or is the BE652ceWHB warmer?
That's the best retirement plan I've ever heard! The hardwood mahogany top of the 362ce would be the more traditional choice for blues.

Just a quick question about back and sides. You are listing this as Tropical Mahogany b/s (and top too, of course) but a dealer I went to is telling me it is Sapele b/s - were previous years made with sapele and current model years tropical mahogany and perhaps that is where the confusion lies? I realize they are similar woods, just trying to figure this one out.
The back and sides were updated with Mahogany in 2023. Prior to that, the back and sides of the 362ce were Blackwood. The 352ce

Beautiful, great tone and action but it buzzes
The D and G strings buzz and there is no adjustment to the neck that makes the buzzing stop. The guitar is beautiful, the action is fantastic but the buzzing is so disappointing. Especially disappointing since I have never had this problem with my less expensive 110e and 214ce.

Great 12 String in a Small Body
I was interested to hear one of Taylor’s small bodied 12 strings as most of my guitar playing life I have owned 12 and 6 string acoustics, mostly dreadnaughts but also Taylor GA GP and 12 string GS.
On first playing the 362ce I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of sound. The 362 delivers a very good 12 string sound, better than I imagined a smaller body capable of producing. As with all Taylor guitars the build quality is superb, comfort and playability are also good, aided by the slim neck profile. The ES2 pickup does need more gain compared with my other Taylor’s with ES2, but the local Taylor guitar tech made some small adjustments which have improved the situation. The voices of the 362 and the GS are markedly different, both obviously 12 strings and I use both to give variety in a set.

Fantastic instrument!
I have been looking for the perfect 12-string guitar for years. I had a Yamaha in the 70s. Then I tried a Godin A12 and then a Danelectro Vintage 12. All are very nice guitars but none of them were “right.” When I decided to give the Taylor 362ce a try, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. What a perfect 12-string. The shorter scale makes it so easy to play. I would definitely recommend you check out this model if you’re looking for a 12-string. Oh, and it’s stunningly beautiful, too.

Great sound,looks, playability. Not happy with expression system-gain is so much less than my 614 and makes it difficult to switch back and forth when playing live

The Perfect 12 String for me.
I first saw this Taylor 362ce 12 String on YouTube. When I heard about the volume and sustain this smaller guitar had and that it would stay in tune, I knew I had to check one out . Spicer’s Music ordered one for me to see and I purchased it pretty quick. It never slips out of tune like my previous two 12 strings. The smaller size body makes it super comfortable to play. It is everything as advertised.

Wonderful, rich sound. It stays good in tune, better than other 12 strings I've played. The guitar feels rather 'heavy', but I like that. It keeps steady while playing it.

362ce 12 fret mahogany Grand Concert, best 12 string ever for the price!
I absolutely love the 362ce 12 fret 12 string guitar. I had a 355ce 12 string (I think it was a ce) in 2004 and I had to sell it for financial reasons in 2013. The 355 had a really deep sound and I loved it, but the 362ce 12 fret is much easier to play because of the shorter neck. I was amazed that the sound of the 362 Grand Concert body was as good, if not better, than the sound of the 355 grand Auditorium body. I currently also have a 314ce and a 2021 714ce LTD Sassafras and even though they are both Grand Auditoriums, they have a different sound. I'm planning to sell the 314ce and replace it with a 322ce 12 fret and I hope I can find one after I sell the 314ce. I love the mahogany Grand Concert body style with the12 fret neck. The only thing I don't like is the black pick guard, but I can easily live with it.

A Wonderful Instrument
I decided to upgrade my 12-string from a 354ce to this 362ce. Why?
I have a V-braced 814ce DLX and love the way it sounds and plays, so moving to a V-Braced 12-string seemed to be the next step.
In addition to that, I liked the idea of a 12-fret shorter scale neck. Playability is excellent and going from a spruce top to a mahogany top was an easy transition.
In general I like gloss finishes better than satin, but not a bid deal for me with this guitar. The one thing that was a bit perplexing was the feel of the satin finish, which felt like there were specs or tiny bumps in the finish. It wasn't smooth. Not sure what that is about but obviously doesn't affect playability. I will say I love the forearm cut on my 814 and wish this had one as well.
