Overview
512ce 12-Fret
The 512ce 12-Fret offers a totally unique experience within the Taylor line, blending the responsive sound of solid mahogany and cedar with a compact, relaxed feel. The mahogany back and sides serve up a woody, focused midrange, while cedar's softer quality gives this guitar a remarkable warmth and sensitivity to a soft-touch—a perfect combo for players who use a wide dynamic range. Inside, the V-Class bracing scheme dials up greater volume and longer sustain, and the built-in ES2 electronics provide faithful tone in amplified settings. Other specs include a slotted headstock, a genuine West African ebony fretboard and Century inlays in grained ivoroid. It ships with a deluxe hardshell case.

Features

Tropical Mahogany
A midrange powerhouse. Mahogany is prized for balance and articulation, making it one of the best all-around tonewoods there is.

Western Red Cedar
A true performer for those with a lighter touch, cedar tops yield extra warmth and pair nicely with mahogany and rosewood.

Expression System® 2
The Expression System® 2 captures more of a guitar’s dynamic properties using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design.

Venetian Cutaway
The Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the body.

V-Class Bracing
Our patented V-Class bracing is a revolutionary new pattern — a new sonic engine — that marks a major shift away from traditional steel-string bracing patterns.
