With its generous contours and innovative soundport cutaway, the Grand Symphony body shape represents Taylor's envelope-pushing design philosophy. This 326ce from the 300 Series delivers on the immersive, high-fidelity promise of the Grand Symphony shape, utilizing all-solid mahogany back, sides and top and V-Class bracing to serve up a rich, room-filling sound that retains mahogany's warmth and focus. That orchestral response makes the 326ce a great choice for everything from accompanying other instruments to recording to shining solo under the stage lights. If you're ready for an entirely new acoustic guitar playing experience, the 326ce is for you.

Best answerTaylor Guitars
Yes, all guitars in the 300 series have genuine West African Crelicam ebony fretboards and bridges.
As a top wood, how does spruce sound vs. mahogany?
Taylor Guitars
Best answerTaylor Guitars
Aside from the difference in appearance, both wood types are extremely musical. Spruce is lighter in weight and has a broader dynamic range with pleasing overtones. A mahogany top is slightly denser and heavier which translates into a natural compression effect that smoothes out the attack, producing a more focused voice with fewer overtones.

Is this guitar available as a 14-fret model?
Taylor Guitars
Best answerTaylor Guitars
No, this is purpose-built for the neck and body to connect at the 12th fret. This makes for a compact feel that's rare in a 12-string guitar. The tone that results from the placement of the bridge in the guitar's lower bout is advantageous as well.
What makes a 12-fret guitar different?
Taylor Guitars
Best answerTaylor Guitars
A 12-fret guitar makes for a more compact playing framework. It combines the lap-friendly Grand Concert body with the slightly condensed fret spacing of the 24-7/8" scale length and the shorter 12-fret-to-the-neck construction. This makes a slinkier "handfeel" and easier fretting as you move up the fretboard. There's a surprising amount of tonal power and midrange warmth from the bridge sitting back a little farther on the lower bout. Also, the slotted headstock creates a more acute string angle over the nut. Because this puts a little more downward pressure on the nut, it'll feel a little more precise to your fretting hand. Notes won't bend quite as easily closer to the nut.
What's the difference between the Grand Concert and the Grand Auditorium?
Taylor Guitars
Best answerTaylor Guitars
The Grand Concert is considered a small-body guitar. It has an articulate voice with top-end chime and controlled overtones. Its intimate size is lap/couch friendly. The Grand Auditorium is a medium-size guitar and Taylor’s most versatile body shape. It's known for its balanced blend of warmth, clarity and sustain with a well-defined midrange.
Is this guitar solid wood?
Taylor Guitars
Best answerTaylor Guitars
Yes - just like all our US-made instruments, these are constructed from all-solid woods.

My dream come true
5 out of 5 starsBruce
This is my 5th Taylor. I first played the 816ce at NAMM in 2020. I fell instantly in love. It was awesome. Went home and plotted for 4 years. I wanted a different voice from my 414ce. When I first saw a 326 in a store in Danville, Ca, I immediately knew it was the one. 3 weeks ago I walked into Skips music in Sacramento , sat down with it for 20 minutes, walked over to the man who was helping me and said “ this one goes home with me, today. I always name my guitars, so I asked my lovely wife “ What should I name him”? She, without a moments hesitation said Shenandoah. And so he is….. and I can’t put him down.!

4 out of 5 starsStrings in tune
Purchased in jan.2024, waited three months to write this.
First what I fell in love with is its tone. Second, was the feel of the fret board and shape of the neck. This is where I determine mostly the feel. how my hand feel slidings the neck back and forth. Third the colors of the rich mahogany. The strings on it was D addiro so replaced with same. I play atleast once a day, if not three times. I am not an aertist, nor performer. I just enjoy music, and playing music. I am not a fan of D addrio strings, so i believe I will try to find another kind. Like I said though, I am impressed with he sound.
what I do not like, is the cut out that originally peeked my interest. it needs deeper. If you are grabbing the 15th fret, or higher..actually i would say 14th, it becomes clumber some and out of reach.
I started looking for a guitar to buy, and took a year and half to settle on this and i am glad I bought. The other I was looking at was anarchtop gretsch. I feel I made the right choice, but proabaly would have not went with the beveled hole, but stick with the mahogany body.
I own many guitars. This is the first I ever bought brand new.
I use Dunlop polishing cream, but wish I knew a better cream for this type finish.
THEY NEVER TELL THE BEST POLISHING for maintence of their woods.. WHY IS THAT?

We're glad to hear you are enjoying your 326ce! Thanks for the nice review. Being that this is a satin finish, there is no need for polish. We offer a nice satin cleaner that works great. You can also dilute a few drops of mild dish soap into about 16oz of water and apply with a micro fiber cloth and wipe clean.
Dream come true

Just received this for my 50th birthday and it has been a dream of mine to own a Taylor someday. I can't believe how full the sound is and the extra hole allows for a rounder sound than any other guitar I have played. Action is low and easy and I am extremely excited to finally have my own Taylor. I am a family room player and this is a great introduction to the Taylor line with a little more class and pizazz

Great sound from an easy to play instrument! Overall feel is outstanding, and the 2nd sound hole adds the right amount of extra feel to the wood tones.

I had to order this guitar without ever playing one. Even a Taylor dealer in NYC, which is 2.5 hrs away didn’t have one in stock. I have played more expensive models but found little difference in actual tone and playability. I ordered it through Musician’s Friend and they assured me I could return it if I found it was not the guitar I was looking for. It turned out to be a good decision. It has the warm tone of mahogany and the neck shape and size makes it easy to play. It has become my “go to” guitar.

326ce - Stunning to Hear and See
5 out of 5 starsMac W.
Recently purchased a 326ce from my local shop and couldn't be happier with it. It's as incredible sounding as it is looking and that says a lot. The soundport adds a new dimension to the sound and shines when you play unplugged. Hell, it even shines when it's just sitting in a stand - it's gorgeous.
The thing I love most about this guitar is that it brings so many premium features together in one of their more affordable ranges. It's not lacking in beauty and attention to detail, but it has the things I want, and lacks the things I don't need to improve my play.
This guitar also represents, to me, a modern take on the acoustic guitar which has remained largely unchanged for so long. It takes incredible skill and courage to innovate within a community which cherishes tradition as much as acoustic guitarists. Taylor nails it time and time again because their innovations are function-first and they address aspects of the traditional guitar design that could be better. They aren't doing it to just be different, they are doing it to really move the ball down the field in acoustic guitar design in meaningful ways.
Rapid fire: Scale length is awesome. Love the playability, as always with Taylor. Case is top notch and beautiful. Tuners work great and love the all black look. The light strings are easy on the hands for longer playing sessions. ES2 pickups - you know them, you love them. Italian acrylic inlays are very tastefully done.
I play light fingerstyle and feel this guitar works perfect for me. As great as I feel it is, try it for yourself and see if it's the right fit for you too.

So Close to Perfect

The 326ce is a beautiful guitar with a lovely voice. It holds a tuning well, and sounds great unplugged or through a sound system. The only issues that kept me from giving it a five star rating were: 1. The factory action seems (in my opinion) a tad high - making it a bit tougher to play than I would have expected. 2. The non-cutaway back (which gives it a fuller sound) makes it more difficult to play high notes/chords past the 12th fret. Other than that, I highly recommend this lovely guitar!

This Taylor 326ce has a superb mid to low end range and beautiful tone. I bought this guitar for studio recording and have not been disappointed with how well it plays and feels, while always staying in tune. I am a self taught acoustic guitar player and mainly a drummer but would recommend this guitar highly. I also own a Taylor Big Baby, 2 GS mini

I bought this guitar to be a compliment to my 816 ce BE. I wanted the same guitar design in mahogany to have the 2 sound profiles to work with. This guitar is as wonderful to play and as sonically powerful as the 816 but with a more focused sound compared to the more harmonically complex 816. The two are an amazing pair!
