This glorious 12-string Grand Symphony brings another level of richness to our most elaborately detailed guitar series. A solid Sitka spruce soundboard translates the string movement into a shimmering symphony of sound, with pleasing balance and articulation across the tonal spectrum from the striped West African ebony back and sides. Aesthetically, the PS56ce features a dramatic Florentine cutaway and elaborate paua trim with a Nouveau fretboard inlay to match. It’s equipped with the ES2 pickup system for plugged-in tone that faithfully reproduces the complexity of the 12-string sound, and ships in a deluxe Taylor hardshell case.

Discover the features that make this guitar unique

Grand Symphony

This strong Taylor strummer produces a rich, bold voice.

Sitka Spruce

Top Woods

The soundboard choice for most guitars, Sitka spruce produces a broad dynamic range and accommodates a versatile range of playing styles.

African Ebony

Body Woods

A dense wood typically used for fretboards and bridges, ebony produces rich overtones.

Expression System® 2

The Expression System® 2 captures more of a guitar’s dynamic properties using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design.

Florentine Cutaway

A Florentine cutaway comes to a sharp point, creating a horn-like shape. It is more complex and labor-intensive than the Venetian, and is commonly used with our Grand Orchestra body style and, more recently, on Grand Symphony models in our 500 Series models and up.
