Overview
50th Anniversary 614ce LTD
Watch VideoThe 50th Anniversary 614ce LTD’s maple/spruce tonewood combination draws inspiration from the earliest guitars crafted by Bob Taylor. With its milky-hued transparent white finish, white edgeburst and rich gloss finish, this limited-edition cutaway Grand Auditorium introduces a visually captivating aesthetic to the Taylor line. Together, its solid Sitka spruce top and figured Big Leaf maple back and sides serve up a sophisticated voice that balances a clear, vibrant midrange with pleasing sonic warmth. V-Class bracing boosts volume and sustain while improving pitch accuracy all the way up the neck. The result is a highly player-reflective instrument that showcases each player’s individual style. Alongside the bold trans white/edgeburst treatment, this model boasts faux tortoise body and soundhole binding, green abalone Wings inlays, a single-ring abalone rosette and a mother-of-pearl peghead logo. All of our 50th Anniversary guitars feature a suite of celebratory appointments: gold tuning machines, ebony bridge pins with gold acrylic dots and a commemorative interior label. It ships with onboard ES2 electronics and a deluxe brown hardshell case.

Love It!!!
It is of course awesome!!! However, the action was a bit high as I have found from most Taylor guitar over the past several years (it was not like that 20 years ago, action was always perfect on their high end guitars).
All said, I love it, If I could change anything it would be the tuners. The gold tuners are to gaudy and also they start to oxidize after only a short time even when kept clean after use. The Gotoh Black 510 tuners would complement this guitar much better, in my opinion.

IM IN LOVE with my new 50th Ann. 614 !!❤️
It literally stopped me in my tracks! I knew I had to somehow have it . A few weeks went by and I stopped by with my wife to show it to her. She totally surprised me by buying it for me.
One of the most visually striking guitars I have ever seen. My first Maple acoustic. The fit and finish are nothing less than what you would expect from Taylor . It has a beautiful tone , crystal clear ,crisp , yet warm as well. It responds to soft fingerpicking extremely well. And, when you dig into it with a pick it really packs a punch as well. The Expression 2 system is super nice also. I have had so many compliments on this guitar since I got it a month ago. About its obvious good looks, and the stunning sound. It is certainly worth every penny!! Thanks to my amazing wife for allowing this to happen. Thanks to Jim Winter at Winter Sound for always taking care of our local music needs . Taylor Guitars you are amazing!!

This Ghost Guitar Will Haunt You in the Best Way
As befits a guitar with a stunning, ghost-white edge burst, the sound of this 614 haunted me for days. I had always heard that maple was a brighter tonewood, but the revoicing on the big leaf maple in this guitar defied and surpassed all my expectations. I later went back to check out the guitar and compare it against several others, and none of them looked or sounded quite the same.
The 614ce LTD has a surprising amount of base, solid mids, and sparkly treble for notes that can stand proud on their own or combine for some seriously smooth chords. The instrument's appointments suit its attractive tone, and the trans-white edge burst lets you admire the wood grain while giving the guitar a unique aesthetic.
All in all, it's a dream guitar anyone would be lucky to own. Be warned! If you pick one up, you might not want to put it down. My only complaint is that Taylor doesn't sell a white leather guitar strap.
